Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Easy Ee (ranked 436 p4p, 1585 weight class) and James Diamond (ranked 63 p4p, 215 weight class). Easy Ee could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to James Diamond's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Easy Ee!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Diamond!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ee throws a jab but it's blocked by Diamond.

Diamond shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ee napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Diamond controls the position.
You can see the frustration on Ee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Diamond is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ee will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes there by Diamond.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ee is looking to regain half guard here but Diamond keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Diamond tries to move into full mount but can't pass Ee's legs.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Diamond has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Diamond lands with an overhand left.
Ee stuffs the takedown attempt from Diamond. Diamond gets slowly back to his feet.
Diamond moves out of range of the strikes.
Diamond displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ee throws out the jab.
Diamond throws a series of punches but Ee moves out of range.
Ee throws a poor cross that misses
and Diamond counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Diamond throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Diamond ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ee moves away.
Easy Ee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ee swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Diamond cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ee jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ee falls off balance throwing a combination
and Diamond counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ee shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters circling - Ee throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ee jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Diamond misses with the body kick
and Ee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like James Diamond has been cut.
Diamond is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
A jab from Ee finds it's way through Diamond's defenses.
Ee scores with a jab.
Nice defenses there by Diamond.
Diamond was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Ee throws a jab when Diamond was well out of range.

Diamond clinches up with Ee and pushes him back against the cage.

Diamond pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A big left from Ee misses.
Diamond lands a jab-cross combination.

Diamond shoots in but Ee avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Diamond connects with a looping right hand.
Ee slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ee takes one to the side of the head.

Ee is rocked!
Ee is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Diamond keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Oh Ee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Diamond slips under a jab from Ee.

Diamond shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Diamond slows the pace down in half guard.
Diamond tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Ee.
Ee seems to have got his legs back now.

Ee won't allow Diamond to pass to mount.
Diamond frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

James Diamond dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Diamond throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A looping hook to the body misses from Diamond. Ee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Easy Ee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Diamond tries to close the distance and clinch but Ee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

No joy there for Diamond, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Diamond is looking to slow Ee down with leg kicks.
Diamond lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ee circles away quickly and effectively.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diamond.
Ee throws a lazy right hand but Diamond sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A swing and a miss from Ee.
Diamond scores with a sloppy right hand. Ee should have avoided that one.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ee throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Diamond sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Diamond cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ee scores with a jab. Diamond acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

That has opened up James Diamond's cut even more.
Diamond uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ee.
Ee backing away here, and Diamond unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Diamond fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ee misses with a straight right.
Ee uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Diamond.
Ee throws out a loose jab but Diamond uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ee fails with the takedown
and Ee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Diamond shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ee as he avoids it easily.
Ee throws a hook to the side of Diamond's head but Diamond sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Diamond counters with a nice uppercut.
Ee throws a combination that misses
and Diamond connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Diamond wants to clinch.

Diamond lands a nice hook to Ee's body. Ee takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ee tries to clinch up
and Ee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ee lands with an uppercut that bounces Diamond off the cage and back into range.
Ee throws a jab when Diamond was well out of range.
A good leg kick by Diamond.
Diamond has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Diamond dodges the punch combination from Ee.
Ee throws a one two combo.
Diamond gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The cut above James Diamond's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Easy Ee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Diamond.

Diamond closes the distance and clinches.

Diamond breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Diamond waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ee.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Diamond.
Diamond shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ee as he avoids it easily.
Ee was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ee misses with the combination.
Diamond shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ee defends it nicely.
Ee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A little jabbing left from Diamond on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Ee moves in looking to clinch but Diamond pushes him off.

Ee scores with a jab to the head.
Diamond has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Diamond there as he acknowledges the shot.

James Diamond's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Ee loads up on a big right hand but Diamond slips the punch.
Ee throws a jab when Diamond was well out of range.
Ee throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Diamond stumbling backwards into the cage! Diamond bounces back off the cage towards Ee, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Ee lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Ee celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Easy Ee!
Easy Ee retains his welterweight title!
A relieved looking Easy Ee thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated James Diamond had this to say: 'Well shit I’m going to get my ass back to the gym but don’t worry I’ll be back with some big knock outs '.
