Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rock Romero (ranked 641 p4p, 1142 weight class) and Motshan Bogachev (ranked 90 p4p, 155 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rock Romero has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rock Romero seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogachev works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bogachev keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Romero .
Bogachev looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Motshan Bogachev has been cut.
Bogachev tests Romero 's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've been told by Romero 's head coaches at Finch Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Romero connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bogachev momentarily.
Romero connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bogachev. Bogachev circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Romero cracks Bogachev with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Romero has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bogachev to stand back up!

Bogachev is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bogachev lands a leg kick that knocks Romero off balance momentarily.
Bogachev is still on wobbly legs! Can Romero finish him?
Romero throws a jab when Bogachev was well out of range.
Bogachev seems to have recovered his senses.
Bogachev moves out of range as Romero strikes.
Romero backing away here, and Bogachev unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Romero thuds a left hand into Bogachev's body.
A swing and a miss from Romero .
Bogachev takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Romero throws a hook to the side of Bogachev's head but Bogachev sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bogachev cracks Romero with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Romero cracks Bogachev with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Romero throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bogachev makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Bogachev steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Romero .

Romero sends Bogachev crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Romero is motioning to the referee to let Bogachev up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bogachev has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Romero pounces like a tiger and cracks Bogachev with a vicious hook! Bogachev is down but not out! Romero follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

After winning the bout, Rock Romero thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
