PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clark Gerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Clubus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gerra kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Queen - Another One Bites The Dust. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clubus misses with a looping left.
Gerra slips a jab from Clubus.

Gerra closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gerra goes for a takedown in the clinch but Clubus prevents it.
Gerra has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Clubus avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Clubus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gerra doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gerra manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Clubus had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gerra is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Clubus Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gerra's back instead.
Gerra rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Clark Gerra overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
