Bandini has chosen Expanse as his entrance music. Mac Bandini is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandini connects with a nice looking jab.
Mahrez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Mahrez dodges the punch combination from Bandini.
Horrible takedown attempt by Mahrez or perhaps it was just good defense by Bandini, which made it look bad.
Bandini lands a nice shot that snaps Mahrez's head back.
Bandini lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bandini fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mahrez on the side of the head.

Mahrez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Mahrez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Bandini closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bandini seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mahrez shoots for a takedown but Bandini saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bandini fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mahrez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mahrez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Mahrez shoots in for a takedown but Bandini shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mahrez seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Bandini is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mahrez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Bandini slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Mac Bandini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bandini bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mahrez fails with a takedown attempt.
Mahrez takes one to the side of the head.
Bandini sizes up Mahrez with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Bandini scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Mahrez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bandini pinned against the cage. Bandini gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mahrez drops his hands momentarily and Bandini takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mahrez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bandini defends well and Mahrez ends up having to push Bandini into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Mahrez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bandini finds it's way round the side to connect with Mahrez's head.

Bandini has his feet on Mahrez's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Mahrez looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Bandini scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Mahrez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bandini is fending him off so far but Mahrez persists. Nope, Bandini circles away and we're back to standing.

Mahrez shoots for a double leg takedown but Bandini sprawls well. He's pushed Mahrez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Oh Mahrez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mahrez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bandini finds it's way round the side to connect with Mahrez's head.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mahrez. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Bandini cracks Mahrez with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Mahrez tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Bandini pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Mahrez is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

A less than humble Mac Bandini misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
