Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Adlehyde (ranked 444 p4p, 1069 weight class) and Rocky Fortuna (ranked 62 p4p, 166 weight class). Fortuna has chosen Godfather Theme by Nino Rota as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortuna fails in his attempt to clinch.

Adlehyde makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Adlehyde.

Adlehyde breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fortuna will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fortuna avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Fortuna jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Fortuna scores with a nice head shot.

Fortuna uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Adlehyde.

Fortuna throws a series of punches but Adlehyde avoids them all with ease.

Adlehyde swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Fortuna throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

We've been told by Adlehyde's head coaches at Canadian Elite Bruins Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A telegraphed right hand from Fortuna misses the target.
Fortuna shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Adlehyde eats them both and turns towards Fortuna to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fortuna throws a poor cross that misses
and Adlehyde counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Adlehyde loads up on a big right hand but Fortuna slips the punch.

Adlehyde closes the distance and pushes Fortuna back into the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Adlehyde lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fortuna backwards.
Adlehyde is leaning against Fortuna and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Adlehyde lands with a right to the head.
Adlehyde cracks Fortuna with a nice body shot.
Adlehyde is working Fortuna over against the cage.
Fortuna looks winded!

Adlehyde breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fortuna misses with a left hand

and Adlehyde counters with a crisp right hand that drops Fortuna! Adlehyde lets Fortuna back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Fortuna is rocked!
Adlehyde fakes the body blow, causing Fortuna to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Fortuna goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

After the fight, Jack Adlehyde was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
