Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christian Gillet (ranked 4107 p4p, 5026 weight class) and Math Riddle (ranked 524 p4p, 587 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gillet throws a hook but Riddle blocks it.
Riddle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gillet was well out of range. Poor timing from Riddle.
Gillet lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gillet swats away the attempt to clinch by Riddle.
Riddle scores with a push kick.
Riddle buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Riddle finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Gillet ducks right into an uppercut from Riddle.

It looks like Christian Gillet has been cut.
Riddle fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gillet.
Gillet checks a leg kick nicely.

Gillet clinches.
Riddle tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Riddle trying to control the position but instead, Gillet has worked for underhooks and has pushed Riddle into the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gillet just misses with a elbow thrown towards Riddle's brow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice body punch from Riddle - that landed with a thud.
Riddle's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

and Riddle counters with a series of strikes. Gillet will be more careful next time no doubt.
Riddle throws a leg kick but Gillet sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Riddle ducks under a wild hook from Gillet.
Gillet tries to move into range but Riddle moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Christian Gillet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Riddle walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gillet checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Gillet throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Riddle sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Riddle looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Riddle counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gillet thinking.
Oh Gillet is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gillet is breathing heavily.
Riddle catches Gillet with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Gillet forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
