Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ilya Muromets!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kazuma Kiryu!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muromets lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Muromets misses with a left hand
and Kiryu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Ilya Muromets has been cut.
Muromets keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Muromets takes one to the side of the head.
Kiryu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Muromets.
Kiryu looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Muromets connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kiryu. Kiryu circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kiryu takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ilya Muromets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kiryu moves out of range as Muromets strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice uppercut there from Muromets.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Muromets throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kiryu defending well as Muromets loads up on a big left hand.
Kiryu moves out of range of the strikes.
Kiryu lands with a hook. Muromets tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kiryu throws a poor cross that misses
and Muromets counters with a slapping leg kick.
We've been told by Muromets's head coaches at ZuccoTraining Ground that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kiryu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Muromets to score with a decent uppercut.
Kiryu misses with a left hand
letting Muromets counter with a right hand.
Muromets finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
It seemed like Kiryu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Muromets throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kiryu throws an overhand right that lands on Muromets's shoulder, as Muromets tries to avoid the shot.
Muromets quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kiryu misses with an uppercut
enabling Muromets to counter with a crisp jab.
Muromets waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kiryu.
Muromets throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Kiryu tries to land a leg kick but Muromets saw it coming and moves away.
Kiryu blocks a leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Muromets lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Kiryu drops Muromets with a beautiful combination! Muromets stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kiryu is looking for the KO!

Muromets is rocked!
Muromets fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kiryu is out of range.
Oh Muromets is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kiryu misses with a body punch
and Kiryu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Muromets misses with a left hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Muromets walks straight into a right hand from Kiryu - that's dropped him! Kiryu jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Muromets from any more punishment! Muromets complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kazuma Kiryu!
Our winner, Kazuma Kiryu, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
