PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Heely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Scales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heely's entrance music is ghetts-top 3 selected. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heely misses with a jab, cross combination.
Horrible takedown by Scales or perhaps it was just good defense by Heely which made him look bad.

Heely feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Scales is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Scales is looking for a triangle but Heely pushes his legs off easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Scales is on top in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Scales has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Heely is working away from the top position though.
Heely looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Scales with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
