Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Bispen (ranked 1545 p4p, 741 weight class) and Iso Paa (ranked 205 p4p, 104 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Bispen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Iso Paa!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bispen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bispen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
An inside leg kick from Paa misses.
Paa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Paa takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Paa dodges the punch combination from Bispen.
Bispen throws an off balance right hand
and Paa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Paa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Paa throws a body kick that misses.
Paa takes one to the chin there.
Bispen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Paa feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bispens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Bispen walks into a straight right hand from Paa.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bispen misses with a few strikes there.
Paa is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Bispen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A looping hook to the body misses from Paa. Bispen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bispen throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Paa counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Paa works Bispen's body with a nice hook.
Paa looks to score with a jab to the body but Bispen is just out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Bispen on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Decent striking displayed by Bispen there.
Paa throws a jab when Bispen was well out of range.
Bispen steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Paa. That one must have hurt.
Paa lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Paa slips a straight right by Bispen.
Bispen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bispen is looking to counter punch.
Bispen slips a jab from Paa.
Paa moves forwards but Bispen connects with a nice, crisp jab.
A nice leg kick lands there from Paa.
Bispen moves out of range of the body kick.
Bispen scores with a jab.
Paa walks into a left hand.
It looks like Bispen has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Paa avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bispen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Paa dodges the punch combination from Bispen.

Bispen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Paa misses the shot to the body.
Bispen is looking to counter punch.
Paa has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Paa moves out of range as Bispen strikes.
Paa lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bispen takes a step back to recover.
Paa lands with an uppercut that bounces Bispen off the cage and back into range.
Bispen throws a right hand that misses
and Paa counters with a straight right hand.
Paa cracks Bispen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Paa slips a straight right by Bispen.
Paa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Paa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bispen.
A punch combination from Bispen misses.
Bispen avoids a kick to the body.
Bispen throws a right hand that Paa ducks under and follows up with a left that Paa also avoids with ease.
Bispen throws a jab but it's blocked by Paa.
Paa throws a leg kick
and Bispen counters with a three punch combo that has Paa backing up. Paa nods at Bispen to acknowledge the strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Paa fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bispen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bispen lands an overhand right.

Bispen gets tackled into the cage by Paa. Paa maintains the clinch.
Bispen tries to circle away but Paa has him pinned against the cage.
Bispen takes a shot to the head.
Paa is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bispen to keep the fight standing.
Bispen is trying to push Paa away but Paa has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Bispen can't break the clinch.
Paa has Bispen pressed against the cage, preventing Bispen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bispen wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bispen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bispen tries to break free but Paa pushes him back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Bispen.
Paa throws a punch but it's blocked by Bispen.
Bispen wants to break free but Paa has control.
Bispen blocks an uppercut.
Paa lands with a light punch inside.
Paa tries to work over Bispen's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Bispen wants to break free but Paa has control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Paa lands a nice uppercut.
Paa lands a left hand.
Paa throws a punch but it's blocked by Bispen.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Paa.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bispen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Paa.
Bispen wants to break free but Paa has control.
Paa has Bispen pressed against the cage, preventing Bispen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bispen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Paa lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bispen backwards.

Paa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bispen uses from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Paa has his foot on Bispen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bispen works his way back into a safe position though.

Paa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bispen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Paa pushes a forearm under Bispen's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bispen is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Iso Paa! Iso Paa retains his light heavyweight title!
