Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Death Knell!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knell just misses with a punch to the body.
Kurschmann throws a lazy uppercut
letting Knell counter with a right hand.

It looks like Frank Kurschmann has been cut.
Death Knell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Death Knell has been cut.
Knell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kurschmann.
Kurschmann misses with a looping left.
Knell scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kurschmann doesn't seem bothered though.
Kurschmann stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Knell.

and Kurschmann counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

A little feinted left hand from Kurschmann on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Kurschmann ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Knell moves away.
Knell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kurschmann slips a straight right by Knell.
Kurschmann is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Knell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kurschmann.

Knell sizes up Kurschmann with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

and Kurschmann cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kurschmann lands a nice hook to Knell's body. Knell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kurschmann swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Knell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kurschmann's sensitive parts.

Kurschmann displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Knell throws out the jab.

Knell throws out a counter right but Kurschmann avoids it with no problem.

Kurschmann takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The fighters circle momentarily. Knell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Knell lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Knell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kurschmann was well out of range. Poor timing from Knell.

Frank Kurschmann's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Knell catches Kurschmann with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Jeez, Frank Kurschmann's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kurschmann lands a body shot.
Knell pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kurschmann is out of range and Knell settles back down.
Knell looks to score with a jab to the body but Kurschmann is just out of range.
Knell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kurschmann sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kurschmann tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A slapping leg kick lands for Knell.
A chopping leg kick lands by Knell.
Knell tries to land a front kick but Kurschmann steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Knell lands with a nice body punch.
Kurschmann throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Death Knell dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Knell fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kurschmann is out of range.
Nice uppercut there from Knell.
A jab from Kurschmann finds it's way through Knell's defenses.
Knell moves away from the strike by Kurschmann.
Kurschmann connects with a body shot that sends Knell's belly button to the back.
Knell connects with the punch.
Kurschmann lands a really nice looking cross but Knell seems unphased.
Knell throws out a powerful jab.
Kurschmann throws a lazy uppercut
and Knell counters with an inside leg kick.
Nice body kick from Knell.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Knell. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kurschmann with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Knell to score with a decent uppercut.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Frank Kurschmann's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Our winner, Death Knell, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
