The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Extraterrestrial tries to clinch but Jacquin is having none of it.
The Extraterrestrial throws a sloppy head kick and Jacquin moves out of range easily.

Jacquin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The Extraterrestrial wants to control but Jacquin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jacquin wants to pass the guard but The Extraterrestrial is defending well.

Jacquin wants to work for an arm triangle but The Extraterrestrial is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jacquin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down The Extraterrestrial for as long as he can get away with.
Jacquin uses his free foot to push down on The Extraterrestrial's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for The Extraterrestrial.
Jacquin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The Extraterrestrial tries to lock up and control but Jacquin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The Extraterrestrial can't escape the position.
The Extraterrestrial stops Jacquin from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
