The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashby shoots for a takedown but Gudlaugsson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gudlaugsson throws a right hand that misses

and Ashby counters by moving into the clinch.
Ashby is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gudlaugsson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Storolf Gudlaugsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cory Ashby.
Ashby changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gudlaugsson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ashby is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
