The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harwood scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Silva misses with a head kick.
Harwood throws a right and a left that both miss.
Harwood stalks Silva and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Silva's face. Silva staggers backwards, shaken.
Harwood throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Harwood manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has Harwood in his guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Harwood drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva!

Silva has hold of Harwood's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Harwood tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Silva cranks the arm and Harwood screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Harwood, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
