Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Buzzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eryk Bartnik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bartnik has chosen Pain - Same Old Song as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Buzzo clinches up with Bartnik and pushes him back against the cage.

Buzzo is trying to trip Bartnik. He has hold of a leg but Bartnik is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Buzzo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Buzzo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bartnik on the ground.
Buzzo wants to stand but Bartnik has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Bartnik throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Bartnik thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Buzzo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Buzzo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bartnik to the mat! Bartnik manages to get full guard.

Buzzo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bartnik keeps working.

Buzzo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bartnik to his feet.

and Buzzo counters with a single leg into guard. Bartnik didn't expect that.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bartnik had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Buzzo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bartnik Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Buzzo's back instead.
