The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hammer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Starfish's guard.
Starfish is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Hammer dives into side control.
Starfish looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Hammer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Let's hope that Hammer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hammer has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Starfish is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hammer yanks on the arm and Starfish is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hammer.
