Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Svend Thorsby (ranked 1153 p4p, 1958 weight class) and Big Fist (ranked 35 p4p, 62 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Fist!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fist uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thorsby.
Thorsby swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Fist counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Thorsby is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Thorsby on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Fist lands a head shot.
Thorsby throws a head kick but Fist moves out of range.
Fist slips a jab and a cross from Thorsby.
Fist digs a good body shot into Thorsby's ribs.
Thorsby takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Thorsby misses with a jab to the body

and Fist counters with a nice right hand that sends Thorsby toppling to the canvas! Thorsby scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Fist finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big right from Fist misses.
Thorsby thuds a left hand into Fist's body.
Fist looks to score with a jab to the body but Thorsby is just out of range.
Thorsby throws a hook but Fist blocks it.
Thorsby lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fist circles away quickly and effectively.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fist uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Thorsby has time to react.
Fist connects with a body shot that sends Thorsby's belly button to the back.
Thorsby tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Fist counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Thorsby misses with a lunging right hand
and Fist counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Thorsby off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Fist follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Thorsby was out before he hit the floor.
