The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northern leaves Verdins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Northern scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Verdins doesn't seem bothered though.
Northern connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Verdins takes one to the side of the head.
Verdins should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Northern cracks Verdins with an open hand slap.
Verdins doesn't manage to clinch there - Northern circles away.
Verdins looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Verdins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Northern moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Verdins fails with the takedown
and Northern counters with a right hand from hell and Verdins is out cold! A vicious knockout!
