Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Seehaver (ranked 2128 p4p, 3425 weight class) and Nico DiAngelo (ranked 273 p4p, 417 weight class). Kyle Seehaver could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nico DiAngelo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 21 - 1, fighting out of London, Kyle Seehaver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nico DiAngelo!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DiAngelo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Seehaver defends well and DiAngelo ends up having to push Seehaver into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Seehaver looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Seehaver shoots in and bounces DiAngelo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

DiAngelo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Seehaver defends it easily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Seehaver closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. DiAngelo quickly recovers to half guard.
DiAngelo wants to improve his position but Seehaver is controlling well.

DiAngelo tries to roll over but Seehaver keeps him under control.
DiAngelo keeps trying to improve his position.
Seehaver keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Seehaver throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. DiAngelo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Seehaver is in DiAngelo's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Seehaver pushes down on DiAngelo's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Seehaver is sneakily working for an arm triangle but DiAngelo sees it coming and defends easily.

DiAngelo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

DiAngelo wants to control from the top but Seehaver keeps moving.

DiAngelo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Seehaver looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Seehaver looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Seehaver!

DiAngelo is trying to get back to half guard.

Seehaver wants to lay and pray for a moment but DiAngelo keeps working.
Seehaver remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
DiAngelo is looking to reverse the position.
Seehaver is looking to take a break and control but DiAngelo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
DiAngelo is trying to work for a sweep but Seehaver has mounted him!

Seehaver swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and DiAngelo is now in Seehaver's guard. A big mistake from Seehaver there, giving up the dominant position!

DiAngelo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Seehaver is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Seehaver has escaped and now he's on top!

Our spies down at at Alpha Brasil inform us that DiAngelo has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Seehaver creates some space and throws a big elbow, but DiAngelo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Seehaver tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Seehaver has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
DiAngelo is not content to let Seehaver control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
DiAngelo shoots in for a double leg but Seehaver sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

DiAngelo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Seehaver to the mat! Seehaver manages to get full guard.

DiAngelo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Seehaver manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now DiAngelo has Seehaver in his guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now DiAngelo is on top in guard.

DiAngelo seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Seehaver is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
