Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 24658 p4p, 24910 weight class) and Sss Sss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sss Sss will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sss Sss!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Xxx leaves Sss with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Xxx throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sss avoids it.
Sss misses with a takedown attempt - Xxx sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And Xxx counters with a quick kick to the body but Sss blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sss tries for a takedown but Xxx sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Xxx Xxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sss Sss.
Sss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Xxx.
Sss throws a fast counter high kick but Xxx manages to duck under it in time.

Sss darts in looking for a takedown but Xxx gets double underhooks and turns Sss into the cage.
Sss shoots in looking for a takedown but Xxx manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sss's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sss shoots in for a takedown but Xxx shows good takedown defense.
Xxx quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Sss stuffs the takedown attempt from Xxx. Xxx gets slowly back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Sss shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Xxx wants to improve his position but instead Sss has moved into half guard.
Xxx on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Xxx tries to get out of the position.
Sss tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Sss missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Sss wants to stand but Xxx has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Let's hope that Sss has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Xxx is pressing down on Sss's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Xxx has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Xxx shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sss as he avoids it easily.
Sss follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Xxx shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Xxx showed some decent athleticism there.
Xxx throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sss to regain full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sss is looking to stand up but Xxx isn't so interested in that idea.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sss Sss will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sss tries for a takedown but Xxx sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sss throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Xxx dives in and scores a takedown into Sss's guard.
Sss looking to control.

Xxx prevents Sss from getting back to his feet.

Sss is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sss is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Both fighters circling a little - Sss finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Xxx darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sss has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Xxx is working away from the top position though.

Sss tries to kick Xxx off but Xxx keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Xxx Xxx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Xxx throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Sss is trying to stand up here but Xxx is controlling him well.
Xxx takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Xxx looking to score a takedown here. Sss is defending well but Xxx drives through and ends up in Sss's guard.

Sss can't keep his opponent in guard - Xxx advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sss is trying to stand up here but Xxx is controlling him well.

Xxx keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
And Xxx counters with a quick kick to the body but Sss blocks it.
Sss shoots in for a double leg but Xxx sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Xxx thinks about countering with a body kick.
Sss shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Xxx sprawls well. Xxx wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sss gets slowly back to his feet.

Sss dives in and grabs Xxx's left leg, looking for a takedown. Xxx pushes down on Sss's head and hops out.
Sss shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Xxx makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sss really felt that one!

Xxx closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Xxx is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Sss is looking to get back to is feet but Xxx passes into side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Xxx has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Xxx tries to sprawl but Sss drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Sss is keen to just control but Xxx is a slippery customer.
Still in half guard, Sss seems content to control.
Xxx is staying active underneath Sss, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Xxx is looking to control Sss's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Xxx avoid being mounted?
Sss has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Xxx works to full guard.
