Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Trinidad James (ranked 4670 p4p, 4669 weight class) and Jack Linhoe (ranked 495 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linhoe tries for a takedown but James sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Linhoe fails with a takedown attempt.
Linhoe tries to close the distance and clinch but James swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

James closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - James lands in his opponent's guard.
Linhoe is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Linhoe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Linhoe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

James advances to half guard.
Linhoe has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. James is working away from the top position though.
James performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
James tries to stand but can't do so whilst Linhoe controls his leg.
James uses his free foot to push down on Linhoe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Linhoe.
