Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raz Matazz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matazz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Deftones - Change. Taylor has chosen Peanut Butter Jelly Time as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Matazz.
A head kick misses from Taylor.
A swing and a miss from Taylor.
Matazz wants to land a leg kick but Taylor is out of range.
Matazz uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Taylor has time to react.
It looks like Simon Taylor has been cut.

Matazz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Taylor.
Matazz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Matazz pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

and Taylor counters with a left and a right that stings Matazz.
Matazz tries to clinch up
and Taylor counters with a two punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Matazz swings away with a body shot that misses
and Taylor makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Taylor ducks under a wild hook from Matazz.
Taylor throws a body punch but Matazz moves out of range.
Matazz sizes up Taylor with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Taylor circles away from the clinch attempt
and Taylor counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Taylor cracks Matazz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Matazz darts in trying to clinch
and Taylor makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Matazz throws a series of punches but Taylor moves out of range.

Taylor is rocked!
Matazz ducks under a wild hook from Taylor.
Taylor is still on wobbly legs! Can Matazz finish him?
Taylor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Matazz lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Taylor seems to have recovered his senses.
Taylor looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Matazz lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Taylor falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
