The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Venanccio changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. A looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
A manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
A is pressing down on Venanccio's thigh, looking to free his foot. Venanccio is holding on for now.

Venanccio looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
A lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

A is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Venanccio defends it well.
A stops Venanccio from getting back to his feet.

A wants to work for an arm triangle but Venanccio is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A thows a huge punch but Venanccio dodges it nicely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Venanccio looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
