He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Craig Growden has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Growden misses with a double jab.
Growden dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The Plague Monk looks gassed!
The Plague Monk tries to close the distance and clinch but Growden swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The Plague Monk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Growden tries to avoid it but The Plague Monk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Growden to the ground. Growden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Growden wants to clinch.
Growden drops his shoulder and cracks The Plague Monk with a huge uppercut! The Plague Monk goes down! Can Growden finish him?

The Plague Monk is rocked!

It looks like A The Plague Monk has been cut.
Growden postures up in The Plague Monk's guard and throws a big left but The Plague Monk blocks it.
Growden with a flurry of punches that miss.
Growden trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Growden with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Growden pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. The Plague Monk is keeping the position for now.
Growden really is a fat lump.

Growden would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The Plague Monk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Growden moves into the clinch.
Growden jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as The Plague Monk walks away with a smile on his face. Growden gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Growden lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The Plague Monk takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Growden lands a brutal head kick. The Plague Monk looks out on his feet and Growden throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
