Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Avon Barksdale (ranked 6100 p4p, 3955 weight class) and Bryce Helix (ranked 336 p4p, 260 weight class). Bryce Helix will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helix waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Barksdale.
Barksdale swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Helix attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Helix is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Barksdale.
An attempted straight right counter from Barksdale misses the target.
Barksdale steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Helix.
Barksdale has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Barksdale there as he acknowledges the shot.
Barksdale uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Helix.
Barksdale was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Helix lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Barksdale has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Barksdale and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Helix tries to land a leg kick but Barksdale saw it coming and moves away.
Barksdale walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Helix lunges at Barksdale with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Barksdale's hand.
Barksdale on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Helix tries to land a leg kick but Barksdale saw it coming and moves away.
A quick step to the side and Barksdale tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bryce Helix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Helix's jab looks to have found its range, popping Barksdale under the eye.
Helix scores with a body shot.
Helix chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Helix darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Helix scores with a sloppy right hand. Barksdale should have avoided that one.

Barksdale is rocked!

Helix lands with a thumping leg kick.
Oh Barksdale is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Helix - that will leave a mark!
Helix lands a leg kick that knocks Barksdale off balance momentarily.
Barksdale takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Barksdale is breathing heavily.
Helix finds Barksdale's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Barksdale flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Helix lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Barksdale will be OK.
