PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinten Jackson (ranked 2977 p4p, 4390 weight class) and Kennedy Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kennedy Thompson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Jackson

and Thompson counters with a single leg into guard. Jackson didn't expect that.
Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Thompson cracks Jackson with a solid left hand.
Thompson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Thompson stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Thompson is working Jackson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Thompson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
