Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Take Down (ranked 4332 p4p, 4579 weight class) and The Socks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Take Down!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Socks!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Down shoots in but no luck this time.
Down throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Socks's waist but Socks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Down off to one side.
It seemed like Socks was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Down instigates a clinch.
Down wants to take the fight to the mat but Socks manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Take Down. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Socks jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Down walks away with a smile on his face. Socks gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Socks fails to land with a series of punches.
Socks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Socks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Down gets full guard.
Down on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Down tries to get out of the position.
Socks throws a strike but Down rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Down in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Socks is looking to sweep but instead, Down has passed into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Down sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Socks defending well though.
Down trying to control the pace.
Socks is trying to stand.
Socks is looking for a sweep. Down is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Down is pressing down on Socks's thigh, looking to free his foot. Socks is holding on for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Down wants to control but Socks is keeping him busy.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Socks is looking to escape.
Down throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Down lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Down stands up out of the half guard.
Socks throws a good cross that connects.

Socks swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Down.
Down tries to score a power double leg takedown but Socks sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Down somewhat.
Socks jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Socks throws a big shot that misses.
No joy there for Down, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A combination from Socks does no damage.
Down goes for a double leg but Socks avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Socks continues to drive forward.
Down pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Socks connects with a body shot.
Socks wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Socks lands with a nice body punch.
Socks darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Socks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Down keeps working.
Socks not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Down is controlling Socks's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Socks is looking to take a break and control but Down is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's time! Down's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Socks has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Socks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Down. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Down lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Socks keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Down gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Socks to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Socks looking to sit in guard and control but Down gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Socks is on top in guard.

Down utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Socks lands a couple of elbows.
Down seems keen to control Socks's posture.

Down has his foot on Socks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Socks works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The Socks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
