Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Heredia (ranked 4605 p4p, 21563 weight class) and Trevina Gunter (ranked 516 p4p, 649 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Trevina Gunter was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gunter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Heredia's guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Gunter working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Gunter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gunter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Heredia is looking to stand up but Gunter isn't so interested in that idea.
Gunter is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Gunter passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gunter is taking a breather. Heredia says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Gunter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
