Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Thompson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Reems!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Reems counters by moving into the clinch.
Thompson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reems just stands there and leans against the cage.
Reems decides to pull guard.
Reems wants to sweep here but Thompson controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thompson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reems pulls Thompson in close to his closed guard and prevents Thompson from doing any damage or advancing position.
Reems trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thompson is looking to work some ground and pound but Reems has wrist control.

Thompson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Reems doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Reems is controlling Thompson's posture.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Thompson feinted with a counter takedown.
Thompson dives in and grabs Reems's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reems pushes down on Thompson's head and hops out.
Thompson is breathing heavily.
Thompson gets caught flat footed, as Reems shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Thompson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thompson tries to get out of the position.
Reems trying to control but Thompson is working from the bottom.

Reems stands up and waves to Thompson to follow him.
Reems shoots in but Thompson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Reems shoots in for a takedown but Thompson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Thompson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thompson wants it to stay on the feet.
Thompson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Reems goes for a double leg but Thompson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Thompson continues to drive forward.

Thompson shoots for a double leg takedown but Reems sprawls well. He's pushed Thompson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Reems with the counter takedown but Thompson avoids it easily.
Reems works over Thompson's head and body with a nice combination.
Thompson darts in looking for a takedown but Reems gets double underhooks and turns Thompson into the cage.
Thompson stops a takedown attempt from Reems.
Reems prevents a takedown attempt there.
Reems misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Thompson.
Thompson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Reems taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Thompson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Reems smiles and moves away.
Reems takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Reems shoots for a double leg takedown but Thompson sprawls well. He's pushed Reems's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Reems darts in and clinches Thompson up against the cage.
Thompson is trying to pull guard but Reems turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Reems breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reems rushes Thompson and presses him up against the cage.
Thompson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Reems is defending well for now.
Reems pulls guard.
Thompson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reems has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Thompson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Reems looking for a takedown.
Thompson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Oscar Reems dominated that round.

No joy there for Thompson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Reems! Thompson is backing up but he can't get away as Reems lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Thompson and ends the fight. Great knockout.

A less than humble Oscar Reems misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
