Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Morgue Sitter (ranked 3596 p4p, 4255 weight class) and Ricardo Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Morgue Sitter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricardo Rodriguez!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rodriguez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sitter has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rodriguez but great work by Sitter.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Rodriguez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sitter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sitter swings around for an armbar but Rodriguez sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sitter's guard.

Sitter is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rodriguez has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rodriguez!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rodriguez can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rodriguez has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sitter has passed into side control.
Sitter is looking to take a break and control but Rodriguez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rodriguez pushes Sitter away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sitter gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Sitter tries to score with some ground and pound. Rodriguez controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Morgue Sitter will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Rodriguez darts in and clinches Sitter up against the cage.
Sitter is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rodriguez to keep the fight standing.
Rodriguez tries to land knees in the clinch but Sitter avoids the damage to the body.

Rodriguez tightens his grip and picks Sitter up, before dumping him to the ground. Sitter manages to land in guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Sitter manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Rodriguez manages to break the clinch.
Sitter misses with a few strikes there.
Rodriguez steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Sitter.
Rodriguez slaps away a takedown attempt from Sitter, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Rodriguez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sitter's guard.

Sitter has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rodriguez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sitter is on top in guard.

Rodriguez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sitter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rodriguez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rodriguez's back!

Morgue Sitter showed his dominance in that final round.
