Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oulu Laine (ranked 224 p4p, 142 weight class) and Biff Raper (ranked 35 p4p, 24 weight class). Laine's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Peti - Oulu Shangri-la. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raper lands a lovely overhand right.
Raper takes a swing at Laine's ribcage but misses.
Both fighters circling a little - Raper finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A lazy left from Raper finds it's target.
Raper throws a jab when Laine was well out of range.
Biff Raper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laine takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Raper wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Laine uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Raper.
Laine fires out a quick counter leg kick but Raper just manages to avoid it.
Raper lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A bone on bone clash there as Raper blocks the leg kick.
Laine takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Raper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Laine was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Laine tries to work over Raper's front leg with a kick but Raper checks it.
Laine looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Raper lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Laine at a distance.
Raper scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Laine counters with a head kick. That will keep Raper thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

A punch lands to the side of Laine 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Raper is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Laine had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Raper cracks Laine with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Raper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laine was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Laine might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Raper scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Laine doesn't seem bothered though.

Raper throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Laine stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Laine's legs have taken a beating and he's really slowing down as a result.

Raper takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Raper throws a hook but Laine blocks it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Raper looks to land a left hand but Laine moved out of range nicely.
Raper bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Laine throws a sloppy head kick
and Raper connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Raper comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Laine takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Laine doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Raper lands a big right hand that sends Laine crashing to the mat! Raper stays standing though and waves Laine back to his feet!

Laine is rocked!
Laine is holding his hands too far apart here. Raper throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Laine is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
