Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Koloa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Olav Tryggvason!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tryggvason tries to clinch up but Koloa circles away and keeps his distance.
Koloa changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Koloa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tryggvason defends it nicely.
Tryggvason uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Koloa has time to react.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tryggvason leaves Koloa with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tryggvason swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Koloa definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Koloa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tryggvason sprawls well. Tryggvason wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Koloa gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Koloa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Koloa tries to score with some ground and pound. Tryggvason controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Tryggvason is not content to let Koloa control the position.
Tryggvason takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Tryggvason takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Koloa cracks Tryggvason with a big right hand but Tryggvason just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Tryggvason managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Koloa.
Koloa grinds an elbow into Tryggvason's temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Check out the look on Koloa's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Koloa sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Tryggvason is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tryggvason can do anything to dispel that myth.

Koloa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Koloa lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Tryggvason down.
