Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Dalton (ranked 2929 p4p, 2978 weight class) and Mousa Ndombele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Dalton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mousa Ndombele!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ndombele scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dalton doesn't seem bothered though.

Ndombele fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dalton to the ground. Ndombele is now in Dalton's guard.

Dalton looking for a guillotine here but Ndombele defends easily.

Dalton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ndombele doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ndombele manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ndombele working his ground and pound in the gym.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dalton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ndombele can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dalton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ndombele gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dalton is pulling down on Ndombele's head to control his posture.
Ndombele must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ndombele accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dalton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ndombele defends it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ndombele is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ndombele postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Dalton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ndombele can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dalton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Dalton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ndombele gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ndombele is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dalton can't fight it off and eventually Ndombele manages to take the fight to the floor. Dalton looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Dalton's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Dalton throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ndombele escapes and throws Dalton's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Mousa Ndombele showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Dalton throws a leg kick but Ndombele sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Dalton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ndombele defends well and Dalton ends up having to push Ndombele into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Dalton tries a head kick but it misses.
A little jabbing left from Ndombele on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Dalton gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ndombele.

Ndombele drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dalton gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dalton lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ndombele or not.

Ndombele breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dalton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ndombele with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Horrible takedown attempt by Ndombele or perhaps it was just good defense by Dalton, which made it look bad.
It looked like Dalton was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Ndombele lands with a hook. Dalton tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Dalton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dalton lands with an uppercut that bounces Ndombele off the cage and back into range.

Ndombele closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ndombele lands in his opponent's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Mousa Ndombele.
I've got Ndombele winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
