Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Moganesh Jain (ranked 3647 p4p, 2618 weight class) and Ono Kuronoa (ranked 246 p4p, 173 weight class). Jain comes to the ring accompanied by The Monkey King. Moganesh Jain could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ono Kuronoa's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Moganesh Jain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ono Kuronoa!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jain throws a lazy right hand but Kuronoa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
It seemed like Kuronoa was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Kuronoa throws a sloppy body shot
and Jain counters with a straight right hand.
An inside leg kick from Kuronoa misses.
Ono Kuronoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Kuronoa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kuronoa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jain.

Kuronoa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kuronoa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jain wants to improve his position but Kuronoa is controlling well.

Kuronoa is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kuronoa is keen to just control but Jain is a slippery customer.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kuronoa seems to be working for a kimura but Jain defends the submission attempt.

Kuronoa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jain is just riding it out for now. Kuronoa eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Moganesh Jain will probably get the nod.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kuronoa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jain has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jain and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Moganesh Jain will probably get the nod.

Moganesh Jain decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
