Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshiro Nagata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nagata's entrance music is Dirty Wormz - Big Bad Azz. A fine choice. Hans Gruber has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Yoshiro Nagata's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nagata escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gruber gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gruber has hold of Nagata's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nagata manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Gruber is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nagata sees it coming and defends easily.

Gruber is trying to control the action in half guard but Nagata is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gruber might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nagata kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Gruber fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nagata sprawls well initially but Gruber persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Yoshiro Nagata will probably get the nod.
