Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Good work by Banks as he checks the leg kick.
Simon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Banks.
Banks looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Simon tries a head kick but it misses.
An inside leg kick from Simon misses.
Banks fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Simon throws a wild body kick that Banks sees coming a mile off.
Banks blocks a head kick by Simon.
A solid leg kick lands there for Simon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Simon's waist but Simon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Banks off to one side.
Kyle Simon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Banks.
Banks slips a jab and a cross from Simon.
Simon wants to clinch.
A slapping leg kick lands for Simon.

Banks gets a takedown into half guard.
Banks trying to pass the guard but Simon defending well.

Banks is working for a submission of some sort.

Banks is working for a kimura but Simon is defending it quite comfortably.

Simon kicks Banks off and gets back to his feet.

Simon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Banks drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Simon is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Banks is controlling him well.

Banks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Banks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banks looks gassed!
Simon is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Banks is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Banks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Simon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Simon is trying to control Banks's posture but Banks avoids it.

Banks working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Banks tries for a kimura but Simon is defending well.

Banks is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Simon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Banks tries to move into full mount but can't pass Simon's legs.

Banks has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Simon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Banks yanks on the arm and Simon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Banks.
