Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie White (ranked 2270 p4p, 1828 weight class) and Porthos Knox (ranked 284 p4p, 241 weight class). White's entrance music is Battlesick. A fine choice. Knox comes into a darkened arena with his song building. One Step Closer | Linkin Park kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronnie White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 15 - 2, fighting out of London, Porthos Knox!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox moves away from the strike by White.
White takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
White swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Knox counters with a stiff right hand.
White shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
White cracks Knox with an open hand slap.
Knox ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ronnie White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Knox throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Knox misses with a body shot.

A head kick misses from White.
White slips a jab and a cross from Knox.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It seemed like Knox was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
White with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Knox to score with a decent uppercut.

White will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

White's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Knox connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! White scrambles back to his feet.

White is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Knox fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Knox throws a lazy right hand but White sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
White rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and White takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Knox blocks a low kick nicely.
White throws a poor cross that misses
and Knox counters with a lovely straight right hand!
White looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Knox connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Porthos Knox will probably get the nod - 10:9.

White lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Knox tries to sprawl but White drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
White throws a big right hand that misses.

White doesn't have the hooks in and Knox manages to turn into his guard.

White sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Knox's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ronnie White.
I think White has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
