The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett moves away from the strike by Shinnie.
Shinnie moves out of range of the strikes.
Bennett swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Shinnie digs a good body shot into Bennett's ribs.
Bennett ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kevin Shinnie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shinnie throws the left hand but Bennett avoids the punch easily.

Kevin Shinnie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A nice inside leg kick there by Shinnie. That's going to slow Bennett down.
Shinnie leaves Bennett with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bennett lands a big right hand that sends Shinnie crashing to the mat! Bennett stays standing though and waves Shinnie back to his feet!

Oh Shinnie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shinnie is breathing heavily.

Bennett instigates a clinch.
Bennett dips a shoulder and cracks Shinnie with a mighty uppercut! Shinnie falls back against the cage and Bennett unloads with a barrage of strikes! Shinnie is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Bennett screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
