Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maksud Magomedov (ranked 1097 p4p, 1353 weight class) and Peoples Champion (ranked 149 p4p, 176 weight class). Magomedov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Lezginka - Kavkaz. Champion has chosen Aegukka as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Champion keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Champion cracks Magomedov with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Magomedov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Magomedov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Champion sprawls and moves away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Champion dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Magomedov. That did some damage!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Magomedov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Champion sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Magomedov somewhat.

Magomedov thuds his right hand into Champion's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Champion looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nice straight punches there by Champion. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Champion.

Magomedov takes the fight into the clinch.
Champion lands with a left to the head.
Champion misses with a body punch.
Nice body punch from Magomedov.
Magomedov fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maksud Magomedov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Magomedov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Champion fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Magomedov shoots in and bounces Champion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Champion tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Champion has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Magomedov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Champion manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Magomedov manages to get himself to full guard.

Champion tries to pass to full mount but Magomedov defends it.
Magomedov is trying to control but can't.
Magomedov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Champion wants to pass to mount but Magomedov is defending the position.

Champion seems to be working for a kimura but Magomedov defends the submission attempt.

Champion is looking for a kimura but Magomedov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Champion to get the leverage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Champion is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Magomedov is just riding it out for now. Champion eventually gives up the hold.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Peoples Champion dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Magomedov is pushing down on Champion's leg trying to pass to half guard. Champion is fighting to maintain full guard but Magomedov has managed to sneak the leg through.
Magomedov wants to take a breather but Champion is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Champion is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Magomedov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Magomedov's back!

Magomedov is trying to defend against the choke here but Champion has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Champion Tightens the hold and Magomedov taps out furiously! Champion displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
