PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cecil DeMill (ranked 4251 p4p, 4344 weight class) and Bo Hell (ranked 0 p4p, 497 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think DeMill might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hells Bells. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cecil DeMill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bo Hell!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeMill shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hell tries to regain full guard. Instead though, DeMill has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
DeMill is in the full mount, landing strikes.

It looks like Bo Hell has been cut.
DeMill content just to control the position here.
Hell is trying to stand up.
The referee warns Hell that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

DeMill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hell is desperately trying to improve his position but DeMill has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

DeMill takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hell is looking to improve his position but DeMill isn't that keen on the idea.
DeMill breaks from Hell's wrist control and lands an elbow.

DeMill looking to control and managing it successfully.

DeMill swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Hell is now in DeMill's guard. A big mistake from DeMill there, giving up the dominant position!
DeMill is controlling Hell's posture.
Hell takes a decent strike to the side of the head.

DeMill working for a triangle but Hell defends it easily.
DeMill has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now DeMill is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
DeMill forces his way into half guard.
Hell is looking to control DeMill's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hell avoid being mounted?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hell is controlling DeMill's trapped leg to prevent DeMill from advancing to side control.
DeMill is thwarting Hell's attempts to control the position.
DeMill slows the pace down in half guard.
DeMill drops an elbow to the side of Hell's head.
DeMill blocks the strikes from Hell.
DeMill seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The cut above Bo Hell's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hell should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
DeMill stalling.
DeMill has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hell wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
DeMill is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Cecil DeMill dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bo Hell's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


DeMill shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hell's guard.
DeMill has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hell is proving hard to escape from.

DeMill seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hell for as long as he can get away with.
DeMill postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bo Hell's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Cecil DeMill!
An out of breath Cecil DeMill thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
