These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhao misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zhao bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kuiva's head.
Kuiva lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Zhao throws a head kick that misses
and Kuiva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Kuiva counters with a straight right hand.

Sloppy strikes from Zhao. Those never looked like landing.
Zhao throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kuiva counters with a straight right hand.
Kuiva just misses with a punch to the body.
Zhao pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Kuiva was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Zhao.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kuiva throws out a powerful jab.

It looks like Longsun Zhao has been cut.
Zhao throws a combination that misses
and Kuiva counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Zhao falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!

A relieved looking Jarna Kuiva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
