Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong stuffs the takedown.
Overeem tries to close the distance and clinch but Armstrong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Armstrong misses with the combination.
Armstrong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Overeem as he jumps to the side.
Overeem has his takedown stuffed
and Armstrong counters with a two punch combo.
Armstrong lands with a shot to the body.

Armstrong forces Overeem back against the cage and clinches.
Overeem changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Armstrong fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alistair Overeem. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Armstrong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Armstrong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Overeem bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Overeem won't allow Armstrong to get back to his feet.
Armstrong is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Overeem dives into side control.

Armstrong bucks up and tries to throw Overeem off but instead Overeem has got his back!
Armstrong controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Overeem is riding his opponent, not letting Armstrong buck him off.

Armstrong won't enjoy being in this position. Overeem looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Armstrong is tapping - it's over boys! Overeem picks up the submission victory!
