Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alekos Papadopoulos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Deep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Papadopoulos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Deep to the mat! Deep manages to get full guard.
Deep keeping moving, preventing Papadopoulos from controlling successfully.
Papadopoulos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Deep escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Papadopoulos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Deep looking for a guillotine here but Papadopoulos defends easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Papadopoulos bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Deep lands a really nice looking cross but Papadopoulos seems unphased.
Deep looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Deep fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Papadopoulos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Papadopoulos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Deep has his foot on Papadopoulos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Papadopoulos works his way back into a safe position though.
