The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haggar punishes Svensson's body with a nice straight punch.
Svensson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Haggar.
Svensson now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

and Haggar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Svensson's guard.

Svensson regains half guard there - taking advantage of Haggar's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haggar passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Svensson!
BOOM! Haggar connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Svensson tries to lock up and control but Haggar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Haggar throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
