Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew G (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Madman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew G!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Madman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
G throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Madman's waist but G gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing G off to one side.
G will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Madman shoots in but no luck this time.

Madman takes the fight into the clinch.
Madman jumps guard but G stands there with Madman around his waist. Madman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Madman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. G can't fight it off and eventually Madman manages to take the fight to the floor. G looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
G throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Madman trying to control but G is working from the bottom.
G looking to hit a scissor sweep but Madman is one step ahead there.
Madman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Madman wants to pass the guard but G is keeping the position.

G pushes Madman off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
G is breathing heavily.
Madman looks for a takedown but G sprawls well.
Andrew G has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Madman.
Madman moves out of range as G throws a body kick.

Madman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

G throws a sloppy head kick and Madman moves out of range easily.

G tries for a takedown but Madman circles away easily

and Madman counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Madman stands up from half guard.
Madman has his takedown stuffed

and G holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
G can't get the takedown.

G gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Madman keeping hold of G's head, controlling as best he can.

G gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Excellent takedown into side control there by G.
G moves into full mount!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Madman is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Madman tries to reverse the position but G maintains control.

A close round but James Madman will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Madman fails with the takedown

and G counters with a takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from G are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
G lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Madman down.
Madman sneaks back into half guard.
Madman trying to hold on to G's head to control him but G postures up.
Madman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Madman is pulling down on G's head to control his posture.
Madman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in G's guard.
G wants to stand and escape but Madman is having none of it.
Madman is breathing heavily.
G trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Madman has gone for a leg lock! G slips out almost immediately though and dives into Madman's guard.
G throws a big right hand that misses.

G stopping the sweep attempt from Madman.

G drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Madman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now G has Madman in his guard.
G wants to sweep but no luck.
G has momentary wrist control but Madman slips an elbow through the middle.
Madman stays in close to G's body and controls the position.
G wants to sweep here but Madman controlling him for the moment.

G has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

G tries to escape but Madman is in control.

Madman is pressing down on G's thigh, looking to free his foot. G is holding on for now.
James Madman has got the better of the ground game so far.

G tries for a kimura but Madman is defending well.
What's Madman going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Madman misses with a takedown attempt - G sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

G drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Madman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Madman moves in looking to clinch but G pushes him off.
Madman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts G as he jumps to the side.
G throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

G gets caught flat footed, as Madman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Madman chips away with some ground and pound.
G wants to get back to his feet but Madman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Madman cracks G with a solid left hand.

G throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

G looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

G wants to get back to full guard.
G moves into full guard.
G looking to control.
G is looking to stand up but Madman isn't so interested in that idea.

Madman stands up out of G's guard for a moment - G manages to land a nice upkick.

G manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Madman manages to get himself to full guard.

G stands and steps away. Madman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
G looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Madman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
G manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
G prevents Madman from getting the reversal.

I would just about give that final round to James Madman.
I think Madman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
