The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patelle misses the jab.

Patelle closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Preach to the mat! Preach manages to get full guard.
Preach wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Patelle manages to pass to side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patelle thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Preach's head.

Patelle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Preach stops Patelle from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Patelle wants to finish this one by submission but Preach is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Patelle.
Preach tries to buck Patelle off but he can't manage it.

Patelle quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Patelle but it's paid off an Preach is forced to tap! Nice work by Patelle.
