Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Durham might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Unstoppable by Roy Jones jr.. Jones has chosen Still D.R.E as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jamal Jones acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a wild body shot.

Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Durham swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Durham is breathing heavily.

Jones gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jones lands a right hand that snaps the head of Durham backwards.

It looks like Michael Durham has been cut.
Jones unloads a knee to the mid-section. Durham lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jones gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

and Jones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Durham thinking.
Jones cracks Durham with a big right hand and Durham goes down!
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Durham has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.

Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jones stands up from Durham's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jones throws the kick towards the body but Durham avoids it.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A jab-cross combination lands for Jones and sends Durham crashing to the mat! Jones follows him down to the mat - Durham regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Jones wants to stand up but Durham has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Jones gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jones closes the distance and pushes Durham back into the cage.
Jones lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Michael Durham's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

letting Jones counter with a right hand.

Jones clinches up with Durham and pushes him back against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Jones.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jones. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Jones throws a leg kick but Durham moved away.
Durham dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.

Jeez, Michael Durham's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Michael Durham's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
