Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cleveland Steamer (ranked 4978 p4p, 5010 weight class) and Scott Norton (ranked 504 p4p, 508 weight class). Norton has chosen Regulators by - Warren G as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cleveland Steamer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scott Norton!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Darius Henderson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norton throws a looping overhand right but Steamer ducks down to avoid it.
Steamer looks to throw the jab but Norton is out of range.
Norton looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Norton on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Norton slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Norton thows a left - swing and a miss!
Norton defending well as Steamer loads up on a big left hand.
Steamer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Norton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steamer misses the shot to the body.
Norton scores with a body shot.
Steamer fails in his attempt to clinch.
Norton takes a swing at Steamer's ribcage but misses.
Steamer misses with a double jab
and Steamer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Norton tests Steamer's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steamer lands with a nice body punch.
Norton throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steamer throws a hook but Norton avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Norton scores with a jab to the body.
Norton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Norton there as he acknowledges the shot.

Norton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steamer was well out of range. Poor timing from Norton.
Steamer definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Norton is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Steamer rather than just go for the knockout.
Norton misses with a double jab.
Steamer just misses with a punch to the body.
Danga de danga de dang - Norton scores with a four punch combination!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Steamer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Norton ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Norton. Steamer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Norton misses the body punch
and Steamer counters with a stiff right hand.

Norton is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Steamer engages and cracks Norton with a massive lead left hook - Norton tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Steamer is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cleveland Steamer!
