Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akira Maeda (ranked 3754 p4p, 4940 weight class) and Sig Sauer (ranked 451 p4p, 530 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Sauer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice body punch from Maeda.
We've been hearing reports that Maeda has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Sauer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sauer throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The fighters circle momentarily. Maeda darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Sig Sauer has been cut.
Maeda throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Akira Maeda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maeda jabs Sauer right on the nose. Sauer blinks but takes it well.

Maeda cracks Sauer with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Maeda has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sauer to stand back up!

Maeda throws an overhand right that drops Sauer like a sack of potatoes! Maeda dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
