PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jay Cartwright (ranked 3745 p4p, 2670 weight class) and Alan Ragasatria (ranked 246 p4p, 174 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alan Ragasatria!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ragasatria tries a head kick but it misses.

Cartwright bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cartwright can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ragasatria controls the pace.

Ragasatria got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cartwright has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ragasatria has managed to get both his arms back between Cartwright's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Jay Cartwright will probably get the nod.

Cartwright has hold of Ragasatria's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ragasatria seems comfortable defending it but Cartwright has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ragasatria is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ragasatria is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cartwright couldn't care less - he's delighted!
