Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Larry Shark (ranked 1325 p4p, 3048 weight class) and Kona Uluwehi (ranked 198 p4p, 385 weight class). Kona Uluwehi will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shark jabs Uluwehi right on the nose. Uluwehi blinks but takes it well.
Uluwehi throws a shot from downtown. Shark moves away and avoids it.
A shot to the liver by Shark. Beautiful body shot.
Shark punishes Uluwehi's body with a nice straight punch.
Uluwehi fails to land with a series of punches.
Shark lands a jab.
Shark misses with a body shot.
Uluwehi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Shark shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Uluwehi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Shark throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Uluwehi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Uluwehi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Shark is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Shark with a flurry of punches that miss.
Shark is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Shark won't allow Uluwehi to get back to his feet.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Uluwehi ducks right into an uppercut from Shark.
Uluwehi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shark circles away quickly and effectively.
Uluwehi misses with the combination.
Shark lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

and Uluwehi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Uluwehi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Uluwehi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shark.

Shark drops down looking for a counter takedown but Uluwehi sprawls and moves away.
Kona Uluwehi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shark decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Uluwehi pushes Shark off but Shark dives into side control.

Shark has an Americana. Uluwehi didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shark is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shark hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
